DC’s Design Crowd Gathers in Georgetown for “Silver & Snow” at Ateliers Jacob
Ateliers Jacob’s Georgetown showroom drew a full house in early December for Silver & Snow, an exclusive event combining design, fashion, and culinary craft.
The evening centered on a preview of a new curated silver collection from local content creator and vintage curator Libby Rasmussen, known for her brands Libby & My and Vintage Vintage Vintage. Her edit — a mix of sculptural serving pieces, barware, and reflective home accents — was displayed throughout the showroom’s kitchen and living installations, allowing guests to experience each piece in context.
The event also spotlighted Japanese-inspired ice cream from Snow Crane, which served small-batch flavors alongside a special maple-taffy–inspired treat referencing the Québécois classic. The tasting station quickly became a focal point, with guests taking breaks between browsing sessions to sample the hand-crafted desserts.
Attendees arrived in attire fitting the “winter whites and liquid silver” dress code, filling the space with plush textures, statement coats, and iridescent accessories. Cocktails and light pours circulated throughout the evening as visitors explored the showroom’s contemporary cabinetry and design vignettes.
The gathering continued a recent wave of design-focused social events in Georgetown, positioning Ateliers Jacob as a hub for community-facing programming that blends interiors with culture, food, and fashion.
