Vinoteca Offers Oenophile Education — And Sip Sanity!

Of course your idea of a truly beautiful cherry blossom season includes rosé colored wine (in) glasses.  (Can you truly face the festival (and tourism flock!) without some sips!)  So here’s your chance to find brilliance in the blooms — and the bottle.

U Street wine destination Vinoteca introduced this week its Spring Wine Class Series,” led by sommelier and local winemaster Tim Galvin.  The series of classes explores springtime’s favorite rosé… plus… plus.

Classes ($40/pp) take place on Tuesday evenings from 7pm – 8:30pm in the restaurant’s cozy upstairs lounge, each exploring — and pouring — five or six different wines with food pairings from Executive Chef Lonnie Zoeller... and a $5 gift card to come back and enjoy more wine at Vinoteca.

Here’s the schedule:

  • Tuesday, March 25: Rosé: The Full Spectrum
  • Tuesday, April 8: Pinot Noir from Around the World
  • Tuesday, April 22: Organic Wines: Because it’s Earth Day
