[Vid] WWII Veteran/Iwo Jima Flag Witness/Documentary Star Appreciates Your Thanks

What does it mean to a Veteran when you take time to thank them?  According to Harvey Kurz, on hand at the National Press Club for a screening of the world record breaking* documentary Honor Flight Tuesday evening, it’s “exciting.”

The 86-year-old naval hero — who saw the iconic flag go up at Iwo Jima — is one of four living World War II veterans featured in the film (now submitted for Best Documentary at the Academy Awards) which follows them and a community that plans the thank-you-trip-of-a-lifetime for them to the Nation’s Capital through the non-profit Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

To reserve your FREE seat at another tribute and screening of Honor Flight on 12.7.12, see here.

*At its Milwaukee premiere, “Honor Flight” broke the Guinness World Record for largest film audience in history with over 28,000 people in attendance.
