[Vid] Barbados Wins “Golden Pineapple” at Embassy Chef Challenge

Chef Javon Cummings representing Barbados won the coveted first place “Golden Pineapple” in the Judges’ Choice category presented by TCMA while Chef Dimitri Lilavois representing Haiti took home first place in the People’s Choice Award presented by Events DC at the 11th Annual Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge.

This annual gathering of embassy chefs from around the world showcases the unique flavors of competing nations in a friendly, delicious culinary competition.

The winning dishes were a surf and turf pumpkin soup from Haiti and guava brûlée pork belly from Barbados. In this video, Barbados describes its signature drink of the evening, the Bajan Sunshine.
