True to its mantra of Unique Indian flavors, Indique spent last month updating its menu to include bold new flavors and pairings. The restaurant then hosted a tasting event to unveil its new menu and relaunched its restaurant in Cleveland Park, after a weekend of updating décor and menu offerings.
Lauded as one of DC’s best affordable Indian restaurants, its new menu and unique pairings are sure to impress – we loved it!
Guests were invited to several stations around the two story space, each featuring new and old favorite recipes from head chef and co-owner, K.N.Vinod.
New artwork helped to brighten the space, including handcrafted Indian pieces with bold warm colors. Romantic window seats and wine served on the balconies encouraged guests to really experience the space, try all of the food stations, and enjoy the atmosphere – and modern soothing music perfectly blended the cultures.
One of our favorite experiences were the Shrimp Puchka Shots. Bite-sized semolina puffs followed by a trio of chasers, like a “choose your own adventure.”
Each of the food stations had a bold, unique flavor, and we recommend trying the cocktails, too. Also, try some Indian beer – the bartender explained how many of them are not even sold in India. Even Jose Andres showed up to try the new menu items!
