Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Cirque du Soleil’s big top production, TOTEM, is now playing at National Harbor through October 7th. But Wednesday, DC commuters got a surprise glimpse into Cirque’s wacky world, for FREE, right at Union Station.
Right there in the Main Hall, curious onlookers could “Get Connected” with TOTEM as an agile Cirque performer balanced on his hands atop a 6-foot tower at NOON and 1 PM.
