The old adage says not to talk politics in polite society. Here in our nation’s Capital, that advice is obviously thrown out the window! 
In a special DC appearance at her Tyson’s Galleria boutique, fashion designer and businesswoman Tory Burch named her favorite politician to a well-heeled crowd of admirers on Thursday evening. “If someone asks who I admire in politics, I’d say Valerie Jarrett! She’s an inspiration to me and to all women.” In turn, President Obama’s special adviser and Chair of the White House Council on Women and Girls happily returned the compliment. “You are my hero and a role model for philanthropy around the world. You show people that you can do well and do good!”
An exclusive list of Washington’s fashionistas including NBC’s Angie Goff, Dr. Elena Allbritton, Catherine Reynolds and CBS White House correspondent Norah O’Donnell met with the designer during the cocktail reception.
