Did someone say Fancy Food Show?! This showcase of savories organized by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade came to Washington DC for the first time July 10-12th, but it seems the Convention Center couldn’t hold all of Monday’s foodie fun.
That evening Mike Isabella held an oven warming celebration – turned Top Chef reunion – in honor of his recent opening of Graffiato in Penn Quarter (707 6th Street NW). Top Chef Alum Kevin Sbraga, Carla Hall, Stephen Aspirinio, Jennifer Carroll, Bryan Voltaggio, Dale Talde, and Spike Mendalsohn joined two-time contender Isabella for passed pizzas and prosecco (on tap, a Graffiato signature!).
The feast and fun combined the chef stars with restaurant reviewers and other eats afficionados to indulge in Isabella’s offerings: an industry night done right.
