Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. The One Day You Can Get Into (Almost) Any Museum for FREE

We’re so blessed with all of the free museums in the DC area that sometimes its easy to forget that most museums need to charge an admission fee! But for one day only, on September 21st, museums across the country are opening their doors free of charge as part of Smithsonian magazine’s 15th annual Museum Day!

National Museum of Women in the Arts
This nationwide event offers free admission to visitors presenting a Museum Day ticket at a participating museum or cultural institution.
National Building Museum

Tickets are available to download now and are valid for September 21 only. Visitors who present the ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues for one day only. One ticket is permitted per household, per email address. Tickets are required to participate in this promotional event.
