We’re so blessed with all of the free museums in the DC area that sometimes its easy to forget that most museums need to charge an admission fee! But for one day only, on September 21st, museums across the country are opening their doors free of charge as part of Smithsonian magazine’s 15th annual Museum Day! This nationwide event offers free admission to visitors presenting a Museum Day ticket at a participating museum or cultural institution.
Tickets are available to download now and are valid for September 21 only. Visitors who present the ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues for one day only. One ticket is permitted per household, per email address. Tickets are required to participate in this promotional event. What museum will you choose to explore?
