There are a few new hotels opening in Georgetown, but you’ll want to know about this one even if you’re not looking for a city suite to crash in. This one boasts drinks with a view.
Introducing The Graham Georgetown, formerly the Hotel Monticello, which is set to re-open in early April.
Named for Alexander Graham Bell, who apparently frequented Georgetown enough to merit two buildings named for him (Bell’s Volta Laboratory and Bureau — aka, the Georgetown Heating Plant — is currently for sale), after its multi-million dollar makeover is complete, the Graham Georgetown will feature seven floors, 30 guest rooms and 27 suites decorated in “cozy, modern” and offering spa-like amenities including Bvlgari products, plush robes and slippers.
While the Monticello did not have a restaurant or room service, The new Graham Georgetown has both a first floor cocktail lounge with a dining menu and a scene setting 3,000 square-foot rooftop bar called The Observatory.
