Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. The Ex Mrs. Hedge Fund

Thursday night dozens of lovely and literary ladies joined Amy Baier, Sharon Bradley, and Ashley Taylor as they hosted the launch of “The Ex-Mrs. Hedgefund” with author Jill Kargman. As Kargman signed copies of her book, guests had the opportunity to shop for styles from Nanette Lepore.

The book takes us back to just months ago, when hedge fund managers were on top of the world. Holly Talbott is a stay-at-home mom while her husband is a globetrotting jet-setter; she thinks her marriage is happy, but… you guessed it! After she catches him cheating, life changes for her in more ways than she imagined – and it’s not just about the money.
