The Bond Opens — Is This Where A Secret Agent Would Live?!

With the film franchise’s 50th anniversary this year, you might think you’ve overdosed on Bond banter in 2013.  But last week, there was a new ‘development’… on a totally different “Bond” topic.

In early 2012, Aria Development acquired “The Bond,” once corporate housing, from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and has spent the last year renovating the building into a luxury community of 83 brand new studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments — the first in the city to offer advanced energy-saving Nest programmable thermostats, which “learn” occupants’ behavior and can be controlled remotely by iPhone. (Sounds a bit secret agent to us!)

Last week, Aria Development Owner Joshua Benaim, was finally ready to debut his $10 million renovated residences, cutting the ribbon with the youngest current US Congressman, Patrick E. Murphy, toasting with Moet & Chandon Imperial… and making inroads into the West End community with a $5,000 contribution to neighbor non-profit Martha’s Table.

The Bond is located at 1230 New Hampshire Ave., NW
