With Summer officially starting this week, The Trigger Agency, award winning organizer of a host of popular food and wine festivals, has ten great reasons to attend the upcoming Great Taste of Tysons Wine and Food Festival Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June, 1, 2014:
- Cooking Stage Chef Demonstrations: Bart Vandaele of Belga Café, Todd Gray of Equinox and Salamander Resort and Spa, Joe Yonan of the Washington Post, Johah Kim of Pabu, Scott Drewno of The Source by Wolfgang Puck and Michael Friedman of The Ren Hen…. (great eats and good eye candy!)
- Whole Hog Butchering: Join Nathan from Sausage Craft as he butchers up a whole hog! He will show you where all of your favorite meats come from and give you some great ideas on how to cook these parts and make a great meal from the hog.
- Wine: Founders Wine tasting seminar with festival founder Greg Nivens as well as a Shafer Hillside Select Cabernet Sauvignon Vertical Tasting including 8 different bottles from 1996-2009, $29 per person.
- Beer: Wine and Food may be mentioned on the marquis, but this fest can beer with the best of ’em!
- Mixology: A Gin Tasting Table, Compare Scotches at the Scotch lounge, find love at the Rum Shack, just to name a few.
- Music: Music will be bountiful throughout the weekend and feature Looking for Lester, Sean Grace, David Bach and the Texas Chainsaw Horns.
- VIP Experience: The VIP area offers additional, higher-end tastings, a lounge atmosphere and special seating. It is designed to offer new surprises every hour, starting on the hour. Guests will enjoy different tastes throughout the day and will be able to leave the space and enjoy the rest of the event without missing out. - Grilling: Join Chef Victor Albisu, owner of Del Campo, as he hosts Authentic South American Grilling Demonstrations to start your summer off right.
- Tickets: On sale now and range from a Grand Cru Two-Day All Access Pass at $269 per person, VIP Saturday $149 or Sunday $129 a General Admission One Day Pass for $59. $39 designated driver ticket in advance.
- After Party: General admission ticket includes one entry to the Great Tastes of Tysons Official After Party at O’Malley’s Pub Tysons Corner. After-party includes three hours (5 to 8 PM) of food and beverage tastings, live music, and transportation to/from Great Tastes of Tysons event to/from Crowne Plaza Tysons Corner hotel.
