Teddy Wins! — Nats Do, Too

History was made in the President’s Race Wednesday as — for the first time in 534 races — Theodore Roosevelt (with some help from a rogue Phillies Phan-toon) finally won his first race around the stadium since the tradition started in 2006.

Victorious in the last game of the 2012 season, Teddy triumphed in the 4th inning of the game, before the Nationals ended up grabbing their 98th win… and home field advantage in the playoffs.

“I am so glad Teddy won, so we can stop talking about Teddy,” admitted third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, “ecstatic” that Teddy finally won so the attention can get back to baseball.
