Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. SuperBowl Sunday: Inside the Lazarus Foundation Fundraiser

The Lazarus Foundation hosted a SuperBowl Sunday fundraising event at 19th Bar & Restaurant, offering an open bar, buffet and auction items for the authentic fan.  Attendees divided their team support, yet all agreed they came away winners – regardless or in conjunction with the Packers‘ win – because their donations served to benefit foster children’s education.

David and Lisa Lazarus (above left), two of five siblings who formed the Lazarus Foundation to provide scholarships for foster youth, were on hand with auction items like tickets, autographed books and a Steelers autographed football.  This chance to support a great cause and see a great game made it a true Sunday Funday.
