Last week, the CityBar Rooftop Bar & Lounge debuted a seasonal rooftop to the public, located in SW on the rooftop of the Hyatt Place National Mall, showcasing a brand new summer menu with craft cocktails (like their Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita) and beer cocktails (like The “GHG”).
The rooftop is perfect for taking in a relaxing sunset while sipping a summery drink. We recommend making sure to enjoy the sweeping views of the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, and the Pentagon while trying the “Breath of Life” (Rum, cucumber water, cilantro, and greatness…).
For their opening, CityBar featured the sounds of Chelsey Green and The Green Project. This Billboard-charting recording artist fuses violin with RnB, Pop, Soul, and Hip-Hop — a perfect fit for City Bar’s swanky without trying-too-hard vibe. (Sad you missed her? She’ll be performing at The National Gallery of Art’s Jazz in the Garden on July 8th!)
City Bar will continue to host live music and live art all summer. It’s also open late and fully equipped with ideal night lighting.
Guess it’s high time to hold court this summer at the Hyatt!
