Summer’s Baddest Books

Summer is drawing to a close, but did you make it to the last chapter of your summer reading list?  Turns out some of those beach books and lazy day page turners were easier to put down than we thought!

Bad, boring or otherwise, these are the books DCers (shared via Twitter) just couldn’t complete :

@JanMichaelDC wasn’t a fan of “Guns, Germs & Steel

@FireRunner couldn’t get the “Steve Jobs‘” biography done

@DC_Nomad found Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead” “dull and arcane”

@McManusKatie couldn’t finish “Wicked:The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

@Casandra_Nicole said bestseller “Cujo” was a “can’t”

@jmdc88 found Elizabeth Kostova’s “The Historian” too creepy

@MECahoon told us she’s returning “The Elegance of the Hedgehog” to the library… and hoping for better luck next time!

But @KJMShopper is still “powering through” “For Whom the Bell Tolls” after four weeks… and counting.

Agree/Disagree?  What’s a classic in one reader’s nook is a clunker to his neighbor. What book was so bad you just refused to keep reading?
