Starlight Gala Gets a Taste of the Stars

Gala Chairs Karen Lohnes, Annie Magruder and Kirsten Pollin stirred things up Saturday night at the Four Seasons during the annual Taste of the Stars to benefit Starlight Children’s Foundation MidAtlantic.  Lounging on a mix of sofas, chaises, benches and high stools — instead of stuffy ten-top round tables — guests dined on a movable feast by Chef Douglas Anderson as the Honey Island Swamp Band helped Louisiana swamp meet night club swank.

Among those in attendance were Philippe Cousteau arrived with his mother, Jan, and new fiancee, Ashlan Gorse, who fell in love with the adorable goldendoodle pup up for adoption in the benefit’s auction, and Michelle and Avi Benaim, back from Rome just in time for the event, who made a wish at the Trevi Fountain for the Foundation, which has provided over 15 million hours of therapeutic entertainment to 275,000 children in 110 hospitals throughout the region.
