Star Spangled Baby!

Salute to baby!

Fifty new and expectant military mothers were treated to a lavish “Star Spangled Baby Shower” by the The Greater Washington, D.C. 8950Chapter of The National Association for Catering and Events (DC NACE) and Operation Homefront DC Metro last Thursday at the Westwood Country Club.

Greeted with hors d’oeuvres and mocktails, the moms-to-be wandered through a variety of interactive booths to receive information on baby safety tips, select cute outfits for their newborn, enjoy mini makeovers, and walk away with professional “baby bump” pictures to share with their spouse and family.8756

New mom and NBC news anchor, Angie Goff, emceed the day and stylist April Yvonne gave a fashion presentation for the stylish baby bump.  Isabella Smith and Stephanie Bodreau — both active-military and expecting — educated on post-pregnancy nutrition before the ladies tucked into a custom designed shower cake, pies, and a candy buffet to top off this special program.
