Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

Join K Street Kate’s Kate Michael at RiRa of Bethesda‘s 1st annual Polar Plunge!  You’ll be Freezin’ for a Reason, submerging yourself in an 18 foot long ice cold water filled pool and accepting pledge donations to benefit NIH Children’s Charities.  All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, FREE breakfast and brrragging rights!  Too chicken for goose bumps?  Prizes also awarded for best costume, and enter to win a raffle for U2 concert tickets!  6:30 AM, $50 minimum pledge, register here.  Spectators welcome.

P.J Clarke‘s hosts its first annual DC St. Patrick’s Day celebration, duplicating the popular New York noshspot’s long standing and legendary tradition. In true P.J Clarke’s fashion, this St. Patty’s Day party has greater goodness than green beer. Add in an Irish pipe and drum band playing through the day, ‘Skins cheerleaders and a chance to win a 2011 Ural T Sidecar Motorcycle (with proceeds going to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial).
