Sipping and Shopping, Sidesaddle

Whether you’re splurging on style or getting the look for less, style is a state of mind in Annapolis at Diva Boutique, which carries a variety of fashions from casual to cocktail. But what’s on owner Michele Deckman’s mind while your own grey matter is glancing over her goods? More often than not, it’s her precious 11 year old daughter who is challenged with autism.

What’s a challenge without a champion? Enter Strut and Sip.

Strut and Sip for Autism is a Bryant Park style fashion show and cocktail party sponsored by Diva Boutique and several other local sponsors, which benefits Maryland Therapeutic Riding’s Horses that Heal program. Sip comp champers, nosh on lite bites (as well as tea-infused cocktails from sponsor Capital Teas), and stare at the shiny things. Nicole Ritchie’s House of Harlow line of jewelry will be featured, and given her relative interest in Annapolis (Joel Madden’s Mother lives there), we’re keeping our fingers crossed that she just might be in attendance!

Find out who’s taking the stage, what styles and are in season and how those struts can secure a promising future for a child with autism on November 5th from 6:30 – 10 PM at Osteria 177 on Annapolis’s Main Street. Tix $100. More info here.
