Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Singles Auction Goes to the Dogs

Sexy singles went out to play the night away — and auction themselves for dates — Thursday night at Hudson during the Second Annual Valentine’s Day Singles Afterparty & Date Auction fundraiser to benefit Fashion for Paws.

Eligible bachelors and bachelorettes sipped cocktails, enjoyed magic and mystery from Josh Norris, learned about their fate (and/or fantasy) with palm readings by DC Psychic, Charley, were hypnotized by the exotic moves of a belly dancer, and got a sneak peek at a new dating site, friendlylook, that matched them up with friends of friends… if they hadn’t already hooked up during the night’s hullabaloo!

Stuert Martens, Sunanda Patel, and Scott Thuman, were among those brave enough to face the date auction block, with the top donor bidding $2,50o for a dinner date at Teatro Goldoni.
