Short and Sweet

Tickets went on sale today for the DC Shorts Film Festival, returning in its seventh year (September 9-16) with a new group of goodies for moviegoers with sunflower-seed sized attention spans                 .

At Landmark’s E Street Cinema and the U.S. Navy Memorial’s Burke Theatre, at nine different showcases throughout the week, you can see select groupings of the 97 films films from across the globe featured in the 2010 festival.  Dramas, comedies, animation, sci-fi, documentary, and unexplainable experiments – each short running in under 20 minutes.

Suggestions:

  • See the 10 minute Telemafia and find out what happens when a telemarketer picks the wrong customer to call
  • Check out Enter the Beard  to crash a convention of bearded men at the World Beard and Mustache Championships.
  • And relive Snowpocalypse as a family copes with forced confinement during DC’s freeze frenzy last winter.

Though tickets are sold for individual events, you can keep it reel by buying a multiple screening or all access pass.  Also don’t miss free lunch shows each day at noon.
