A warning before the International Spy Museum’s talk, ‘Sex(Pionage): Spies, Lies, and Naked Thighs,’ the second in the Spy Museum’s summer ‘Hot Topic Series.’
The crowd — all strictly over 18 — laughed and settled in for a night of sexy & scandalous spy secrets.
From ancient intrigues to Anna Chapman, spies, counterspies, and terrorists often conduct their undercover activities… under the covers! Melton revealed the ways in which seduction is used by spies as a tool to attract and manipulate assets, to coerce and compromise targets, and to control spies in both reality and fiction. He took guests on world wide tour of sexual entrapment practices and gave them an uncensored look at how they are carried out.
“In this new world the goal of seduction is to gain access to laptops and cellphones,” contemplated Melton on the future of espionage as the presentation came to an end. “This is now far more dangerous than compromising photographs!”
