Santana Style Soiree at Karma Salon

Design came to DC to get styled when New York women’s wear’s Rolando Santana (left) debuted his collection at Erwin Gomez‘ local Karma Beauty Lounge Wednesday night.   The evening, hosted by Makeda Saggau-Sackey of Glamazon Diaries, was comprised of a presentation and trunk show of the designer’s current season and future Spring/Summer 2013 collections — with particular emphasis on how to mix and match from office official to holiday party perfect.

“Washington is not just of politics but of style as well,” said Santana, then referencing the First Lady as has become de rigeur.  He was joined as well by NYC celeb stylist George Brescia, on hand to suggest pieces for upcoming inaugural events.

DC bloggers Carla Sanchez of Spicy Candy DC, Natalie Pinto of Fashionably Broke Girls and Denisio Truitt of 8-Vintage won prizes for sharing about the event on social media while surrounded by friends, fashion and the newest fizzy drink, sparkling TEAVINE, introduced by Georgetown native James Henry.
