Roaring 20’s with the Citizens Association of Georgetown

My first trip to the elegant Evermay, and I was dressed in the only thing in my closet which looked like it could have been worn in the 20’s. (Not really, I have a flapper dress costume from the Miss D.C. 2006 opening number, but I conveniently forgot about that one!)

The Citizens Association of Georgetown was throwing a Roaring 20’s community benefit. I was happy to go with friends and meet so many of my neighbors and people that make the Georgetown community as wonderful as it is, including my dear friend Frida Burling and Councilman Jack Evans.

There was a charleston dance contest, but I didn’t compete. Instead, a stroll along the beautifully landscaped lawns of the estate completed the evening with our Georgetown neighbors. Then it was off to channel the 20’s at… where else?… the Ritz!
