Bathed in blue, DC’s West End Ritz Carlton was the scene of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance‘s return to philanthropic rally and remembrance on Saturday, October 29th, when its signature Blue Hope Bash took place in person again.
Now occurring in cities across America to celebrate survivorship and raise funds for CCA’s work to increase prevention awareness, support patients and their families, and accelerate critical research, DC’s Blue Hope Bach — the founding location for the event series — featured live entertainment, a live auction, and its ever-popular Porsche car raffle.
Craig Melvin (News Anchor, NBC News’ TodayCo-Host, 3rd Hour of NBC News’ Today, Alliance Board of Directors Member) was back to emcee the Bash for his seventh year, joined in 2022 by his wife Lindsay Czarinak (American Sports Broadcaster).
Avi Benaim and Karen Paris, Elliott and Estee Portnoy served as event chairs, encouraging the Washington region’s most generous allies to join together to exceed this year’s fundraising goal and reach $2.1 million raised.
New this year, guests shared their personal reasons for supporting and attending and hoping on camera in a space called Studio Hope. Select videos were shared at the conclusion of the night’s program.
