Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

Press Club 5k, Tony Horton Says ‘Bring It!”

Honorary Race Marshalls Tony Horton and Suzanne Malveaux (and K Street Kate’s Kate Michael) invite you to “Bring It!” for the National Press Club‘s BEAT THE DEADLINE 5K, an annual race to benefit the ongoing work of the Club’s Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library, which is committed to helping working journalists improve their skills through ongoing training — and promoting the future of journalism as a profession through scholarships.
Saturday, June 11th, hundreds will join Horton for a pre-race workout before giving it their all for a 5k through the scenic city streets of Washington, DC.  (Course here.)  Register here… and join K Street Kate’s team to see if you can Bring It!
