Pizzeria Paradiso’s Top Chef Ruth Gresser Spills All of Her Secrets

Wednesday night, DC foodies were invited to get saucy! Pizzeria Paradiso’s head chef and owner, Ruth Gresser, celebrated the release of her new cookbook (Kitchen Workshops: Pizza) with a Pizza, Pint, and Published event at the popular pizzeria’s Georgetown location.pizza2

Lucky guests of the intimate event were invited to hear the inspiration that created DC’s first Neapolitan style pizza restaurant… and to create their own Gresser-esque pizza pies with fresh ingredients — from typical pepperoni and sausage to celery and carrots… or blackberry!

Ruth’s book spans the gamut of pizza design; beginning with the classic tomato and cheese before building up to sweet-dessert recipes.  She explains the nuance of a Neapolitan vs. deep dish vs. New York style pizzas, with the main objective always to inspire the drool-worthy and delicious.

Pizzeria Paradiso locations across the city will host Gresser in early February, and look for a special pie and pint session for pizza and beer tasting that will be taking place at the Brewmaster’s Castle on February 12th.
