Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Pint for Pint: A Charitable TweetUp

It was “Pint for Pint” night at the Mighty Pint (1831 M St. N.W.) as Sisarina hosted a DC Tweetup and blood drive in one last Tuesday evening.

Attendees jumped at the chance for a social media meet-up with charity in the mix, making appointments to donate blood at a future time so they could get their happy hour on right away!

The Mighty Pint encouraged potential donors to give the gift of life by giving the gift of free beer — pint for pint — to those in attendance to who fill in the blank name tags which read: What runs through my veins is pure ______.
