There were a pair of parties Sunday at the Four Seasons Hotel as, for the first time, the 2013 Georgetown Jingle was split into a family fun day… and a cocktail soiree! The 8th annual event, a family-friendly holiday extravaganza transformed the luxury hotel’s ballroom into a winter wonderland to benefit Georgetown Hospital’s pediatric oncology programs.
By day there were stations to decorate cupcakes and create holiday crafts — and a special appearance by Frosty the Snowman. Then, guests at night flitted like holiday fairies between taking photos with Santa, bidding on auction items and entering raffles (like a smorgasbord of tequila and a new Toyota Corolla!), tasting specialities from local chefs and working off those extra holiday helpings on the dance floor.
Dr. Aziza Shad from Georgetown Hospital (above in red) was on hand, as well as numerous patient advocates, to join in the merriment and see the Four Seasons’ lobby tree decorations go to good homes — and help a good cause. One tree designed by Syzygy Events sold for $12,000 to benefit the pediatric oncology unit.
