[Party Pix] Inside the DC Bar Association’s ‘Go Formal For Justice’ Gala

Mid-October, the DC Bar Foundation’s Young Lawyers Network presented the third annual Go Formal for Justice Gala. With a show of support that has continued since the last event, more than 200 DC legal providers gathered to help raise over $60,000 for DC’s legal aid providers.

The gala was held at the impressive lobby of Mayer Brown LLP’s K Street office. The money raised has helped the establishment of the DC Bar Foundation as a leading private funder of pro bono legal services in DC, supporting and improving legal representation of the disadvantaged residents of DC.

The event provided a fantastic date night for young DC lawyers. It was an evening of live music provided by NYXLive, on a light-up dance floor, accompanied by liquor tastings, light hors d’oeuvres, a tarot card reader, and a silent auction with a wide variety of items, from sports memorabilia to complimentary dining at some of DC’s finest restaurants.

Eric Kelly, co-chair of the gala, said he was “thrilled to bring together such a diverse group of young attorneys to benefit this great cause,” and was further quoted as saying, “I like that I can get involved to help people who needed pro bono work.”
