[Party Pix] Inside Daily Grill’s New Bar Bash

We usually don’t advocate for messing with the classics, and that includes movies, music, books… and local bars.  But sometimes evolution is exciting — like when you take an original over the top.
Wednesday night, the Daily Grill (a go-to for classic American dishes) unveiled a newly designed bar and a new happy hour menu designed by Executive Chef Phil Kastel.
Guests put away bar food like the popular Capitol Dog, Crab Cake BLT, and Crispy Naked Wings with pours from new available pints of  Schlafly Pilsner, Flying Dog Old Scratch Amber, Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale and Kelly’s Irish Cider.

The roughly $250,000 remodel, while remarkably seemless, features subtle changes like a new stone bar, fresh banquettes, a surround sound audio system and additional flat screen TVs.

The point was to remain enticing for regulars as well as a new DG generation… who’ll now know at first corner glance if they want to go inside.  No window logo obstructs the view.
