[Party Pix] Inside Chris4Life Colon Cancer’s Blue Hope Bash

It was a sea of blue and best wishes Thursday at Georgetown’s Four Seasons ballroom as the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation hosted its 3rd annual Blue Hope Bash to raise colon cancer awareness.

The evening wasn’t about the blues (though some tearful stories were told) — but rather about hope, inspiration and celebration, featuring live entertainment from Ted Garber, speeches from Members of Congress, dinner, signature cocktails, a silent auction, and inspiration from celebrities and colon cancer survivors.

Among those in attendance were Dr. Louis Weiner, (Director of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center), Michael Jakaitis (Morning Drive Editor, WTOP News), and Michelle Money (ABC’s The Bachelor Pad), as well as Chris4Life Founder Michael Sapienza.

While the event encouraged everyone to “Love Your Butt,” blue also kicked butt, with the night raising over $300,000 to support Patient, Treatment and Care programs, cutting edge research, and general colorectal marketing awareness campaigns.
