Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. [Party Pix] GQ Throws Soiree for DC Men of Style

Local entrepreneur Robert Finfer hosted a private reception with GQ “Style Guy” Glenn O’Brien Wednesday night at the new Huxley. Attended by a guest list of the most stylish men in DC, and the women who swoon over them, the reception was as much as a celebration of dapper dressing as a preview introduction to GQ’s fall/winter issue.

O’Brien, renowned author of “How to Be a Man” — in addition to being GQ’s Style Guy — was joined by The Huxley’s Ryan Seelbach and Eric Lund, Chef Demetrio Zavala, Victoria Stiles, Jason Mandel, Marybeth Coleman and Michael Andrews for champagne and cocktails.

Each of the gents took home stylish menswear and beauty swag to include products from The Grooming Lounge, a belt from Top Rank Vintage, silver collar stays and gift certificates from Michael Andrews Bespoke, gift vouchers from Suit Supply and Hugh & Crye and more!
