[Party Pix] Geek to Chic

Both on and off the runway at Bloomingdales Wednesday night, DC’s trendsetters — and techsetters — were strutting their stuff in support of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship at the 3rd annual Geek 2 Chic fashion event, put on by Microsoft.

Hosted by Microsoft’s Mark Drapeau and emceed with humor by one of the (self-proclaimed) nerdiest in news, NBC4’s Angie Goff, the night started with sipping and shopping (10% of Bloomies’ day-of sales served NFTE!), continued with a platform show of “geeks” (from large companies, nonprofit organizations, tech startups, and public service) wearing the latest Fall fashions, and finally finished with an afterparty (appropriately co-sponsored by Start-Up DC) at the U Street hotspot, The Brixton.

Among those in attendance were Start-Up DC’s Evan Burfield, Conversa Group’s Nichole Devolites, Alchimie Forever’s Ada Polla, Year Up’s Michael Scott, and Paradigm Event Mangement’s Teri Galvez.
