[Party Pics] Inside Howard Theatre’s VIP Concert Opening

Tuesday night the Howard Theatre held one of its first grand opening events, a concert featuring the musical talents of Trombone Shorty and special guest George Clinton.  After a 30-year hiatus, the century-old historic theater — which launched the careers of such notable names as Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and Marvin Gaye — was again setting the stage.

“Welcome to the Howard Theatre!” smiled the staff, introducing the $29 million ritzy renovation, which showcased a balcony with supper-club style seating, and a party with passed culinary creations from a menu by Marcus Samuelsson and an open bar with its own interesting “acts.”

A few notable names in attendance: DC Jazz Festival’s Charles Fishman, THE Artist Agency/Real Housewives’ Lynda Erkiletian, Kastle Systems’ Mark Ein with Sally Steibel, Venga’s Winston Lord, and DBM Law Group’s Cami Mazard.
