Osteria Marzano Opens: Classic, Casual… and Chocolatey?!

Grab your forks, folks!  It’s time to twirl some tagliatelle and tuck into some tiramisu.

Classic casual Italian eatery Osteria Marzano opened in Alexandria’s Kingstowne region (or more 366A7910 (1)specifically, the ground floor of Metro Park VI) last week, serving up tempting brick oven pizzas, “Assaggini” Italian tapas-style sharing plates, handmade pastas and hearty main courses.

But here’s what you really NEED to know: This place serves Nutella Pizza.

Not the Nutella.. but tempting nonetheless

That’s right.  Chef Carmine Marzano is taking his 30+ years of authentic Italian cooking experience and adding a fresh twist on classic dishes — creating local and seasonal fare made with top-quality ingredients, and that hazelnut spread we all know and… sometimes eat right out of the jar with a spoon.

That’s what we call getting a pizza da pie.
