Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. New Crackle Bar Opens in Georgetown with High Seas Happy Hour

What’s Crackin’?  Georgetown’s newest resto-bar!  Guests at the Crackle Bar‘s High Seas Happy Hour in Georgetown checked out the new spot to slurp oyster shooters and sip fruity cocktails on one of its first nights of fun.  The event was an invitation only open bar with fare from the downstairs Tackle Box.

“It started out as a joke. Tackle/Crackle.  The kids would say, ‘Daddy isn’t really gonna name it Crackle, is he?’  But then we ended up doing it.  It works.”  The beachy bar gives off that board short and bikini feeling even in the dead of winter.
