Near White House, a New Sushi Market

Sushi Gakyu Bethany Yoshi YokoSushi Gakyu—the latest concept from award-winning Master Sushi Chef and Kikisake-Shi (Master of Sake) Executive Chef Yoshihisa “Yoshi” Ota of  Yuzu Japanese Dining in Bethesda, MD — opened on Monday, June 26th mere steps from the White House, at 1420 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC.
At a special opening celebration, guests sampled a variety of sushi and sashimi custom made by Chef Yoshi himself — a preview to the Sushi and Sashimirestaurant’s much anticipated menu and impressive variety of wine and imported sake.
Sushi Gakyu is now open to the public and provides patrons an upscale dining experience serving traditional and modern-style sushi, sashimi, and Japanese fish menus.  At an Edomae Ginza-style chef’s table, Chef Yoshi will also create custom dishes based on guest’s preferences—the way sushi and sashimi are traditionally served in Japan.
