Natural History Museum’s Fossil Hall Gets First Ever Makeover

dinosaurFor the first time since the Natural History Museum opened its doors in 1910, the National Fossil Hall is undergoing a complete renovation for a 21st-century audience.
When it opens in 2019, the exhibition will invite a new generation of visitors to journey across Earth’s 4.6-billion-year history, but unlike other fossil exhibitions, the Smithsonian’s will not end with the last extinction period. Humans are an integral part of the planet’s story— visitors will experience and consider how their own actions affect Earth’s future.
