Museum of Illusions Now Open at CityCenter DC

Fans of trippy optical illusions and brain benders will be excited to hear that D.C.’s Museum of Illusions is finally open at CityCenter!

From swapping faces and tilted rooms to kaleidoscopes, moving faces, infinity rooms, and even a vortex — these illusions range from the merely instagramable to the truly insane. How did they do that???!

DC’s is the 40th Museum of Illusions around the world, but it is its own unique experience. First, there’s the (unintentional) challenge of finding it…  927 H Street NW, but the entrance is interior to a CityCenter courtyard and while the entrance is on street level, the museum is up a floor.

Then, there’s what’s inside. Fit for ages 3 to 103, the museum’s unique hands-on experience is both a playroom and a puzzle. And one of the best parts is that Washington icons are integrated into the fun making it truly local. (Yes! You’ll be welcomed by George Washington’s wandering eyes, hang upside down in the Metro, and even pick out numerous other presidents from a larger image of Lincoln.)
