Mission Accomplished

This is a chips and salsa conversation… nachos!

Well, it isn’t just about the chips and salsa (our current spicy sauce addiction) at newly opened Lupe.  It’s about how this space, formerly the Italian eatery Sesto Senso, has created a fairly authentic south of the border cantina.  You won’t think you stepped into South America… but San Fran’s Mission district is a maybe.

Colorful and comfortable – even furnished with unpadded wooden stools – Lupe’s functional decor and classic  food offerings are welcome in a part of town (lower Dupont) that’s turned more nightlife than nosh spot of late.  Brunch all day, order appetizers that eat like a mega meal, and sip on $5 happy hour margaritas and sangria.

Lupe is a smashup of camp and cuisine with no actual Spanish meaning.  Just Mexican meals… in minutes.
Mission accomplished.
