Mike Isabella’s Crazy Good Italian Cookbook Launch

“It’s hard to pick just one, but my wife’s nutella cookies are up there,” responded Top Chef Mike Isabella when asked which recipe in his new cookbook Crazy Good Italian is his favorite. The famous cookies that his wife baked in their home each evening are no longer on the menu at Graffiato, Isabella’s Chinatown restaurant, but the recipe is thankfully included in the cookbook.

In celebration of the new book, guests gathered at Graffiato Sunday evening to sip and nibble while getting the first peeks at Crazy Good Italian and speaking with the master himself. Isabella laughed and chatted with guests as they enjoyed delicious Italian foods that continuously reappeared from the kitchen. Crazy Good Italian features recipes for classic Italian infused with Greek, and no other than New Jersey (battered and fried) influences.

Helpful hints and words of advice will give even the most elementary chef the confidence to heat things up and try new dishes in the kitchen. After all, as Isabella puts it, “fear is your biggest enemy in the kitchen.”
