Men Obsessed With Meat

More than tennis balls were being served at last week’s Legg Mason Tennis Classic.  A main course of action sports was being served up with meat on the side – as the Beringer Great Steak Challenge paired up with the tennis tour in DC while making its way through ten U.S. cities.


Celebrity chefs and Food Network stars Jamie and Bobby Deen hosted the challenge, which dared everyone from gourmet chefs to backyard grillers to pair their most creative steak recipe with their favorite Beringer wine, choosing one local grillmaster to advance to the finals in Napa Valley.


“The best part of grilling is being outside,” Jamie Deen admitted, although Thursday’s storm clouds threatened to delay the competition.  “And who can resist a big hunk of meat on the fire?  It’s the caveman gene.”
