Melrose Loses Landmark, Gains Bar Chefs

Georgetown’s fancy updated Melrose Hotel just got some “farm-to-fork” cuisine, pairing fresh dining with its new decor.

Officially launching November 15th (though it is already open), the hotel’s former Landmark Restaurant is now Jardenea, set with communal tables and wine lists/menus that change with the seasons.

The main concept of this garden inspiration is no surprise — local sourcing — yet culinary director Ted Peters suggests an “intimate setting” is what will actually set it apart.

Well, that, and the bar chefs (aka bartenders, bar chef is a term we haven’t seen since 2004), who’ll concoct you something special — maybe even just from the jardin.
