Yes, that’s Nelson Mandel’s grandson Kweku Mandela all over town this week, making headlines — of both the fun and philanthropic sort.
In town Wednesday night specifically for viewings of “Beyond Right & Wrong: Stories of Justice and Forgiveness,” his documentary shown at the Sundance Film Festival, Mandela was the guest of honor at a reception at the home of Vic Seested, a senior vice president of wealth management at UBS. The night before, he attended a Tracy’s Kids fundraiser with Capitol Hill friends to support a pediatric cancer program that helps patients through art therapy.
And Thursday he was spotted at Kabin in Dupont Circle, celebrating his birthday (29!) with champagne, cake and some dancing.
