The 3rd Annual Magic and Miracles Benefit for Ready, Willing, and Working was held at the Ritz-Carlton Thursday night to honor George and Harriet McDonald, founders of The Doe Fund. The non-profit organization, created by Patty Brosmer, offers paid-work rehabilitation to empower individuals to break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency and incarceration.

“I worked with the McDonalds in New York on Ready, Willing, and Able and I noticed a tremendous need for a similar program here; it just resonated with me, so I started RWW,” Brosmer shared.
Supporters in attendance included Alex Gagne, Ken Suarez, Kate-Marie Grinold and Mrs. Classic American Woman, Elaine Roecklein, whom Brosmer described as “tireless, truly tireless; She has such a big heart!”
Some of the big news of the night was the announced launch of “Ready, Willing, and Recycle” – a program for RWW program members to pick-up of laser and ink-jet printer cartridges free from area businesses.
