Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Local Notables Plan Spirited Softball Game Against Amputee Soldiers

“Life without a limb is limitless.” – Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team

This Sunday, September 4th, after the Nationals vs. Mets baseball game, the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball team will take the field to show how they continue to rise above the challenge and push the limits of modern prosthetic technology.

The team, which includes individuals with amputations of the arm, above knee, below knee, bilateral below knee and foot will prove their mettle against a team of participating local ‘celebrities’ (including our President, Kate Michael) who salute their sacrifice.. but still shamelessly plan to bring it on the field.

*Tickets purchased include a donation to the charitable donation to the team.
