Lisner Louise Dickson Hurt Home Art Show & Sale

“All things are possible!” Jeanne Robinson, a resident artist of the Lisner-Louise-Dickson-Hurt Home (LLDH), exclaimed at Thursday’s 2011 LLDH Art Show and Sale.
Robinson, one of the artists whose work was featured to benefit the Home, a nonprofit long-term care facility that exclusively serves indigent and low-income seniors, noted that her “art days are far from over.” And thanks to the Home’s Resident Art Program, which offers a diverse curriculum in visual arts, “People are still learning and doing art here.”

The Art Show and Sale brought together invited guests to showcase the talents of the Home’s residents in addition to portraits of the residents by Shoot for Change photographer Walter Grio.  These works were accompanied by writer Megan Harrington’s interview stories with them, and a special performance by jazz singer Sheena Alexis
